The Woman Behind the Brand
Before the titles and the work you see now, I was a teacher, an instructional coach, an assistant principal, and a principal who learned leadership from every seat at the table. I’m also a wife of over 30 years and the mother of three adult children, roles that have shaped my patience, my perspective, and my refusal to lead carelessly. I’ve led schools across different demographics and contexts, and the results of transformation have been consistent because my belief is unwavering: every child deserves an excellent school experience every single day. I don’t shy away from hard decisions, standing alone, or trying something new when the familiar isn’t working. My heart lives with children, but my purpose is also rooted in developing current and aspiring leaders and supporting districts and departments that feel stuck and unsure of the way forward. I am a systems thinker at my core, grounded in relationships, driven by outcomes, and committed to making schools better on purpose.
LeadYOU Consulting: The Origin
LeadYOU Consulting, LLC, was created to support school leaders who are navigating real complexity without a clear roadmap. After years of leading schools through transformation, I saw the gap between leadership theory and the daily decisions principals are actually expected to make. This work exists to serve leaders, teams, districts, and departments who want clarity, structure, and sustainable improvement, not surface-level solutions.
Dare to Disrupt: The Evolution
Dare to Disrupt™ began as a mindset before it became a movement. It was born out of frustration with “how it’s always been done” and the quiet acceptance of practices that no longer serve students or schools. Dare to Disrupt™ stands for intentional leadership, courageous decision-making, and the willingness to challenge tradition in pursuit of better outcomes, even when that path is uncomfortable.
Leadership Philosophy
My leadership philosophy is rooted in truth, accountability, and purpose. I believe clarity matters, systems matter, and follow-through matters. I don’t traffic in fluff or performative leadership. I help leaders think deeply, act intentionally, and lead with the courage to make hard decisions that align with their values and their responsibility to students.
